Match Length
Locally known as the 'Old' match length. Viewed to the west, a mainstay for matches before poles. There is good access for the disabled via a ramp at Elliots Bridge.
The power cable along the towpath has now been removed but, there is a national grid pylon in the distance - be aware! The clubs match record comes from this length, (36lb – Stephen Mitchell, match secretary) mostly bream.
Part of the longest length between locks, the width varies from 5-16m. There is a shelf and some reeds opposite the towpath with the track fairly constant at 1.75m. Most baits work well according to season.
