Kossetts
Viewed to the west, this is a variable length providing very good fishing on some days, exasperation on others. A stymie gate may cause problems for wheelchairs entering from the Brookfoot end. The length contains most species and has often produced the winner in big matches. Punch has worked well in the spring, bream being in evidence.
There are some good tench in the length but are hard won. All the usual baits can produce fish winter and summer. The width varies slightly from 12-18m with heavy reed beds opposite the towpath. A shelf runs up the length just in front of the reeds and the track averages 1.5m.
