Deep Water
A view looking east it is not so deep these days. Accessible by the disabled from either Elliot's Bridge or from the Kossetts end but a bit of a hike. The pegs in the foreground can be difficult to fish due to the reeds but can be very productive. The further reaches toward Cromwell lock often produce quality bream. Varying from 10-18m wide, the length gets deeper toward the lock ranging from 1.5m to about 2m down the track. Caster often catches but squat, punch and maggot also work well in summer. The usual winter baits can tempt fish to feed though jack pike can occasionally spoil your swim.
