Cliff face

The lower end of the Red Beck section. A very narrow section with overhanging trees widening at the ends to 12-14m and deeper toward Ganney lock. The section gets badly silted occasionally just below Red Beck. Fishing mid length is difficult when using the pole as the towpath is very narrow and there is a deep drop to the river Calder immediately behind the wall.

Maggot works well in summer producing good bream, skimmers, roach, chub and an occasional trout! In winter, worm and joker produce small fish when other lengths are not fishing too well. Good access for wheelchairs via Brookfoot/North Cut.
